To be of the Earth is to know
the restlessness of being a seed
the darkness of being planted
the struggle toward the light
the joy of bursting and bearing fruit
the love of being food for someone
the scattering of your seeds
the decay of the seasons
the mystery of death
and the miracle of birth.
Going into the beauty of nature can teach you to give up, to surrender to the new possibilities that lie beyond your current beliefs, thoughts, ideas, desires, and actions. The earth can teach you how to be in this time of change.
Let nature teach you
She speaks with awe-inspiring magnificence. A big wave, a lava flow, an earthquake, a jungle pathway, the spotting of a fantastic creature, a beautiful sunset, a blast of cold that freezes you to the core, a hurricane, a flood, a tornado, a forest lane, a tree-lined street, a stark desert, a beautiful flower, a crazy insect, a roaring fire, a night sky filled with stars or a billion other gifts from Her bounty.
She has the voice to roar or to create silent stillness, she unfolds her bountiful sights and her stark emptiness and she releases the sharp odor of burning forests and the smooth scent of a rose. She caresses with soft breezes and throws things around with a hurricane type force.
Receive your gift
These gifts from nature are here to inspire, to change, to allow you a new perspective or a glimpse into a different possibility.
In this wild time, where nature is giving us a virus and we are standing up against racism, a trip into nature can be the right antidote to soothe your suffering and give you hope.
Go into the nature that surrounds you. Whether it be a hike up a mountain pass or sitting down to observe a flower growing out of a crack in the sidewalk. Take a moment to be still in nature and learn.
She is ancient, She is wise, and has endured so much. She can change your perspective and give you hope.
The beauty of nature has changed me and inspired me to share some of the things She’s taught me.
Deeply root down to grow up
Let your anger and heavy human emotions flow out of you
Everything is changing all the time
You are powerful
A new day is always dawning
The end of the day is a time of celebration
Check out this week’s Ageless Movement Practice to move in one of the most magnificent places on earth and end some of the sufferings you hold. This practice was filmed in the bountiful beauty of Waipio Valley.
