“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson
This world is waiting for you to light your fire to shine your bright light. Your unique gifts are needed right now to heal the suffering. If you have the courage to step out and shine brightly you’ll show the rest of us how to do it.
Your fire lies in your belly and when it’s burning bright it lights you up from your toes to your sweet, sweet nose. We all know those powerful people that shine bright. Those who don’t let anyone put out their light.
I have a dear friend who is a shiny star
Jack is 88-years-old and his sparkly light shines bright. He’s dedicated his life to helping people connect in love to one another. He’s written books, set up schools, run workshops and counseled people in small groups and one-on-one.
Jack truly has used his gifts and talents and continues to shine them out to the world because as he says, “I’m still alive!”
Nothing dims his light
Jack experienced much hardship throughout his long life. Four years ago his beloved wife of 40-years passed away. Jack’s grief was heavy and he did struggle with it but he never dimmed his light or stopped writing about love or helping others connect with love. During the dark days of grief, he shared with everyone he encountered exactly how he was feeling. Sitting with Jack through the palatable grief I witnessed Jack help people connect deeper with him and to one another.
Jack is one of my role models to keep my light shining bright no matter what challenges I face. Thanks for being a powerful force, Jack!
You were meant to shine
That shiny spirit is in you too. It’s time for you to beam it out and be powerful. Let the world see who you really are. Stop playing small for anything or anyone.
Let’s get started
Breathe deeply, my friend. Breathe in and out of your belly. Stoke your fire. Build it up to burn bright. Finally, as you keep breathing deeply in and out of your belly nothing will stop you. It’s that simple.
Add to your deep belly breathing the snap-in and down of your ribs to activate your core. As a result, you’ll live from your center and not allow anyone to take you away from you.
Finally, the sparkler fizzing on top of your shiny self — a twist. Yes, twists open your power center and get your soul and ego to circle dance together. as a result, this spinning dance will move your energy up and out in a vortex of brightness.
Nothing will stop you now!
I give you a shiny breath, strong core, and sparkly twist practice to get your star shining bright! All in this week’s Ageless Movement Practice. Click here to light your fire.

This post came at the right time for me. My depression has returned this winter, not as bad as some episodes. It has been mostly rainy this January and of course, dark. My physiological response to this is tough to keep in check. Last week I left the house to shop for groceries only. I remember my Mother gong through this every winter in New England. The winters were long and cold. She’d be in a housecoat all winter. Never left the house. I’m surprised all this is faalin

Oh — that’s so hard. I would be super depressed living in the north in the winter. That’s why I’m living in Hawaii! Have you done the Ageless Movement Practice to get your internal sun shining? Try it!
Oh and you’re coming to Hawaii! That’ll be so good!
